During the height of the Georgian and Louis XV eras, large-scale acanthus scroll damasks were the ultimate statement of aristocratic refinement. First woven on drawlooms in London’s famous Spitalfields silk-weaving district and Lyon, France, these fabrics hung on the walls of stately country houses and townhouses to catch and soften flickering candlelight.

Our Acanthus Scroll Damask captures the movement and elegance of authentic Georgian textiles. The continuous foliate scrolls form graceful ogival frames around delicate floral centres, rendered with fine stippling and period-accurate contrast to ensure the scale reads crisply across miniature rooms without overwhelming miniature furnishings.

Every element of this pattern has been painstakingly hand-drawn, re-mastered, and authentically scaled down to 1:12 miniature proportion. The crisp line work and balanced repeats maintain sharp definition across miniature walls without feeling cramped.
