Originally designed by William Morris in 1872, Larkspur is one of his most celebrated and intricate early botanical patterns. Defined by sweeping, sinuous fronds, delicate flowering blossoms, and layered tendrils, this design captures the vibrant movement and organic rhythm of an English country garden.

Every element of this pattern has been painstakingly hand-drawn, re-mastered, and authentically scaled down to 1:12 miniature proportion. The fine floral details and layered leaf structures are rendered with razor-sharp fidelity, ensuring the pattern retains Morris’s iconic Arts & Crafts depth without becoming crowded or lost in miniature scale.

Morris’s original block prints relied on natural mineral pigments and botanical dyes—such as Madder Lake, Terre Verte, and traditional vat-dyed blues—set against warm, unbleached grounds.
